Types of alters

There are many different types of alters. All alters form to carry out a specific role, however an alter may not be consciously aware that they have that role/perform their role

Fictive -Alters based off of fictional characters, and fairly common in autistic/ADHD systems. Fictives can form for many different reasons, one being if the brain does not have the traits needed for daily life or to process trauma, if a fictional character presents those traits the brain may form a fictive so it can have those same traits. Fictives can also form if a character is a major comfort to the system. "Fictive" is not a role, but more of an identification term. Fictives have their own roles like any other alter.
